So here it begins. As of last week, I gave in my notice for leaving my job of nearly ten years to pursue my dream of travelling long term. What the heck am I doing?!
Let's back up a bit. HELLO! My name is Teneal, I am from Alberta, Canada and turn 25 on the 16th of August - eek! I've lived and worked in my city for the last 24 years and have left on a number of different trips, but this time, I am planning to leave with no direct plans to return home. Welcome to what I call my quarter life crisis.

Travelling isn't something I've always wanted to do. Growing up, I had it in my mind that I would finish high school, go into a nursing program and be a married nurse with perhaps a kiddo on the way by this age. I travelled... well vacationed... a lot when I was younger with my friends and their families and so perhaps that is where it started out but it wasn't until I was in my last years of high school where I became friends with a group of international students from Brazil where I really made firm plans of travel.
So the plan right now is to pack up my belongings, sell what I can and leave good ol' Canada in January of 2020. I have intentions of visiting a good friend in Florida for 3-4 weeks before heading off on my adventures that will start in Central America and then off to Europe. (Psst! If anyone has any wicked tips on saving money while travelling Europe in the heat of summer, let me know!)
I am so excited to document my travels and plans as they progress and share them with anyone who stumbles across this little blog of mine! Here we go!
